Middle Iowa Watershed
The Middle Iowa Watershed spans over one million acres, and ten counties, in Central Iowa. Most of the cities in the watershed have populations under 2,000, but larger cities include Marshalltown, Toledo, Tama, Belle Plaine, North Liberty, Marengo, and Ely. The watershed supports a range of landscapes, including recreational lakes, productive row crops, and woodland.
